Sort 2D
Order the items along two axes at once. Each goes onto a grid where its position left-to-right and its position top-to-bottom both have to be right.
What makes it hard
The two axes are rarely related, which is the difficulty: knowing when someone was born tells you nothing about how long they lived.

What the clues give you
Items carry a separate fact for each axis, so a clue can settle one coordinate while leaving the other to you.
